Our Mission

Exalting Christ by Preaching, Teaching, and Making Disciples

CompassBibleAt Grace Church of the Nazarene we strive to provide a sanctuary for prayerful worship within a respectful and welcoming environment. We seek to meet the spiritual needs of our congregation and community, using Christian ideas and values.

As a church, everything is about advancing the ministry of Jesus Christ. Using the method provided in the Word, “(What does ‘he ascended’ mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions? He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”  Ephesians 4:9-13 NIV.

The core values of Grace Church are:
1. Intentional evangelism – proclaiming the gospel. (G)
2. Intentional compassionate ministry – meeting needs. (R)
3. Intentional disciple-making – the Word given. (A)
4. Intentional emphasis on fellowship. (C)
5. Intentional Worship – exalting Jesus Christ. (E)
6. Intentional focus on accountability of disciples.

General Superintendant Emeritus J.K. Warrick stated that “Clarity of mission brings strength” so we want to continue to be consistent with our denominational statement that says:
“The mission of the Church of the Nazarene is to make Christ-like disciples in the nations.”
